Actress Soniya Aggarwal who shot back to marquee with a brilliant cameo with the film Vaanam has signed yet another sensational role. Titled 'Oru Nadigayin Vakku Moolam' (Confession of an actress), Soniya will be seen as the lead protagonist — an actress. The film is directed by Rak Krishna.
Speaking to DC from the sets of her film where she was sizzling for a song sequence Soniya said, “I was really impressed by the way Raj narrated me the story scene by scene. And being an actress, I also thought this is the best way to show world the real picture of actresses and it is not as rosy as they think.”
Sources says, the movie is loosely based on actress Kanchana who was once a big heroine in Tamil and also brings out the true plight of actresses in terms of alleged sexual harassment they face, casting couch, pressure from their families etc.
Was she at any point of time was able to relate to any incident while sitting for story listening session? (Laughs) “Sort of! But not all the episodes in the script! Few other actresses would be able to connect with it when they watch the film,” she quips.Did she take any reference for her role? “No! I want to go raw and to stick to what the director says. By watching few videos or reading books, I don’t want to fix myself,” she asserts.
