Aamir Khan’s impeccable reputation as the producer of quality and hatke films ensured greater footfalls at theatres playing his latest production Delhi Belly. In contrast, Amitabh Bachchan’s home production Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap failed to attract as many bums on seats.
Delhi Belly, starring Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapur, has taken a flying start at box office. The film released at 1200 screens and saw the occupancy of 70 to 90 percent. Moreover, the critics have given their thumbs up to the film -- both the English version and the dubbed Hindi version -- which will attract more crowds to theatres on Saturday and Sunday. The film is made on a budget of around Rs. 30 crores and is expected to have a very good first weekend collection.
